2023 Inaugural Golf Tournament in support of the Andrea Cahill Foundation

In 1984 our – Mother, Wife, Noni, Sister, Sister In-law Aunt and friend was stricken with a little known disease called Neurofibromatosis (NF2). Andrea courageously battled this disease for 37 years - it robbed her of her hearing, her ability to walk, her memory, and some of her cognitive functions – but it never dimmed her spirit, enthusiasm, thirst for adventure, or sense of humor.

Andrea fought valiantly against this neurological disease – enduring twelve brain surgeries, figuring out how to survive and thrive with profound deafness, and participating in key chemotherapy clinical trials - before passing away in 2022.

"The Andrea Cahill Foundation for NF2 research at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)" was founded by Peter and Andrea Cahill in 2002 and has raised $235,000 to-date. The foundation raises funds for NF2 awareness, research, and support, with the goal being to find a cure for NF2. To date, the money we’ve raised has been a part of many key milestones – from gene mapping to genetic testing to stopping the growth, and even shrinking, some NF2 tumors.

With your participation and support for our Golf Tournament, and the Andrea Cahill NF2 Foundation, you’ll be a part of the great work being done at MGH and explore new services, support, and care for those battling this awful disease.

Thank you and God Bless!
